Higher requirements are put forward for the quality of bottle cap mould

With the wide application of plastic bottle packaging in many fields, the bottle cap is becoming more and more important. No matter in beverage, dairy products, daily chemicals, medicine, or other industries, the position of bottle cap is becoming more and more prominent. Higher requirements are put forward for the quality of bottle cap molds, which are mainly reflected in the following aspects:

1. Fatigue fracture performance: The fatigue fracture performance of the mold mainly depends on its strength, toughness, hardness, and the content of inclusions in the material. In the working process of die, fatigue fracture is often caused by the long-term action of cyclic stress. Its forms include low energy multi-impact fatigue fracture, tensile fatigue fracture, contact fatigue fracture and bending fatigue fracture.

2. high temperature performance: when the working temperature of the mold is higher, the hardness and strength will decline, resulting in early wear or plastic deformation of the mold and failure. Therefore, the die material should have a higher tempering stability, to ensure that the die under the working temperature, with a higher hardness and strength.

3. corrosion resistance: when some molds, such as plastic molds, work, due to the presence of chlorine, fluorine and other elements in the plastic, after being heated, they decompose and precipitate HCI, HF and other strong corrosive gases, which erode the mold cavity surface, increase its surface roughness, and aggravate the wear failure.

4. Strength and toughness: most of the working conditions of the molds are very harsh, and some of them often bear a large impact load, resulting in brittle fracture. In order to prevent the die parts from breaking suddenly when working, the die should have high strength and toughness. The toughness of the die mainly depends on the carbon content, grain size and microstructure of the material.
